The Vision, Mission, and Background of MMII:
Vision: Residential Irrigation Education
Mission: To teach stewardship of water resources by providing sprinkler system evaluations that encourage and enable the implementation of appropriate water application for plant material. Beautiful and healthy landscapes are achieved while conserving water.
About MMII: M&M Irrigation & Illumination (MMII) is a residential sprinkler evaluation and education organization. MMII was formed in 2014 as an installation, service, and repair company in the irrigation industry. The company’s ongoing goal is: Water Management Through Efficient Irrigation.
In 2015, Michael Mueller, founder and owner of MMII, began conducting residential sprinkler evaluations in Tarrant County and the City of Allen. In its first year, MMII completed approximately 750 evaluations.
Over time, the company successfully grew. As of 2025, MMII executes approximately 5,000 evaluations per year. These evaluations are conducted for the Tarrant Regional Water District (covering all of Tarrant County), the North Texas Municipal Water District (serving some, but not all, cities within the district), and the cities of Allen, Coppell, and Celina.
The company contracts with Texas-licensed irrigators to perform the evaluations. Each evaluator holds a license with the State of Texas to operate in the irrigation industry. These licenses ensure that all evaluators have passed background checks and are legal citizens of the United States.
All evaluators have multiple years of experience in the irrigation industry—most with over 20 years of experience.
Evaluators are paid a fee by MMII to conduct evaluations and are not permitted to offer or perform service or repair work following the evaluation. Evaluators are removed from the program if they offer to perform work for a resident.
