Evaluations are Easy to Schedule and Convenient for the Property Owner:
The city or water district communicates to their water customers the availability of these evaluations. The resident completes a registration form provided by MMII and is then entered into a queue to receive an evaluation.
An appointment is set with the home owner to have an MMII evaluator come to their home and execute the evaluation. All MMII evaluators are Licensed Irrigators according to the state laws of Texas. Each evaluator has passed a background check to be able to become licensed.
The evaluation begins with the evaluator checking the “backflow assembly”, measuring the static pressure at the home and reviewing and recording the schedule set on the controller.
The evaluator then finds the water meter and records a starting number, executes a “timed test” and records an ending number. This provides the ability to inform the resident of an average gallons per minute the system uses during operation.
During the evaluation the evaluator will review each zone looking to see if the irrigation devices are applying water appropriately and efficiently. This includes the height and angle of the riser within the head, if any part of the head or nozzle is broken and if coverage is sufficient and efficient.
All of this data is recorded as the evaluation is being executed and then input into proprietary software which will produce a detailed report provided to the resident.
At the end of the evaluation, the evaluator is then able to provided recommended “run times” for each zone in the system, and help the home owner set the controller to the recommendations, if home owner requests.
After the evaluation is completed and the data input, a report is “published” to the resident and sent via email. All reports are normally sent within 3 business days of being completed.
